Recall Atlas

Recalled products sold on online marketplaces

1,570 official recalls since 2021 where the regulator's notice says the product was sold through an online marketplace, from the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Pick a marketplace for its recalls and RSS feed.

What to do if you bought something online

  1. Open your order history in your account on the marketplace and search for the product name or the seller.
  2. Compare the product, model and any batch or listing number with the official notice.
  3. If it matches, stop using it and follow the remedy in the notice. For items bought from third-party sellers, the marketplace's own help pages explain how to get a refund for a recalled product.
  4. Marketplaces often email buyers about recalls, but not always: check your spam folder and don't rely on it alone.

These pages report what regulators published. How often a marketplace appears depends mostly on which agencies name the sales channel in their notices (the UK's OPSS almost always does), so the counts are not a ranking of marketplace safety. To search for a specific product, use Check a product.
