What to do

  1. Compare the product name, pack size, batch or lot code and best-before date with the official notice.
  2. If it matches, don't eat it. Return it to the shop for a refund or throw it away, as the notice says.
  3. If someone with this allergy has eaten it and has symptoms, follow their allergy action plan. For signs of a severe reaction (difficulty breathing, swelling of the throat, collapse), use their adrenaline auto-injector if they have one and call emergency services.
  4. Products without an allergy warning can still be recalled for other reasons; check the notice for everything it covers.

General guidance, not medical advice. The official notice has the exact products and batch codes and takes priority. Recalls are tagged automatically from the notice text, so one can be missing here if the notice doesn't name celery; your country's food agency remains the place to check.
